You may call for assistance whenever you feel concerned about your child’s health. In the case of a medical emergency, please dial 911. If you think your child swallowed something that may be harmful, please dial Poison Control at 800.222.1222 (www.poison.org).

To reach our providers or nurses 

During office hours

Our pediatric registered nurses are available to answer questions, help you manage your child’s health issues and decide if an office visit is warranted. Please call and ask to speak to a nurse.

If you are asked to leave a message, your call will be returned by a nurse within two to three hours. Our nurses are located in the office and can consult the doctors and pediatric nurse practitioners, if needed.

If you request to speak with a provider, your call will be returned by the end of the clinic day.

After office hours

​Triage nurses and one of our doctors or nurse practitioners remain on-call after hours. Please call to have someone from the after hours triage team paged.

Please note that you may be billed for professional services delivered by phone after hours.

The MyNM Patient Portal is available anytime

For non-urgent questions, please send a My NM Patient Portal message to your child's care team. Messages will be answered within two business days, and often sooner.

​When to call your pediatrician

Concerning symptoms that should prompt a call to your pediatrician include but are not limited to:

• Rectal temp of 100.4 degrees F or higher if your baby is under 2 months of age 
• Persistent temp of 101.5 degrees F or higher for children over 2 months of age 
• Projectile vomiting 
• Blood in emesis or stool 
• Labored breathing or concerns for shortness of breath 
• Symptoms of dehydration 
• Purple rashes 
• Neck stiffness 
• Pain or lethargy
